Julian Starks founded Visions of the World Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit company with the mission to raise awareness, change perceptions, educate, and support those who need representation. While creating this book, it was an important goal for Starks to support the wild animal sanctuaries and institutions that protect and
preserve endangered species.

Over the past two years, Julian traveled across the United States to photograph animals at various zoos, institutions and sanctuaries to document these stunning creatures in environments which for the most part replicate their natural habitats so well that these creatures are no longer threatened but living full, happy lives.
Julian has compiled the images with short text that highlights information about the featured animals and the very real risk of many species potentially becoming extinct in the shockingly near future.
